Music is my life.

So I just recently bought this headphone necklace from swarovski. Because basically I'm obsessed with music. I spend hours browsing iTunes, and buying hundreds of dollars worth of songs. I would rather have music than tv or movies. I wish that my life had a soundtrack to it. It would be pretty awesome. I wish that everywhere i was at every moment there was music playing according to where i was or what situation i was in or how i was feeling.

If theres a club/bar that is playing horrible music I won't stay. Music makes the atmosphere anywhere in nightlife. It all depends on the DJ. Some are better than others. They need to know how to keep the people up on their feet and feeling the music.

I like all types of music.. from the beatles to incubus to yes, even britney spears. Literally I love everything. If you ever saw my ipod you'd be like wtf? But everyone knows I have the best variety of music. Everyone always asks me to bring the music whenever needed. I don't know what life would be like without it. It inspires me more than anything else in the world.

I hate when old people go to bars.

So me and my friends decided to try a new bar last night called Bask in west paterson. The website seemed legit and looked nice in there with all the flat screen tvs and what not. Well we walked in and it was about 4 x 4 and every person there was at least 35 and older. Everyone just stared at us when we walked in. Not got mention me and my best friend were wearing ridiculous bright colored jackets..

I mean, dont get me wrong, when I'm older I'm still going to go out and have a good time but really, youre going too far when you go to bars and get completely wasted and make a fool of yourself when you should be home maybe taking care of your kids? or if you dont have any.. start to work on making a family or something. I see it all the time. Adults at bars/clubs dressing like they are 21 and acting accordingly... dancing and drinking up a storm. Its a horrible sight. I think I would drop dead if I ever saw my parents out one night. It's just not right.

So.. in conclusion.. dont go to bask bar in west paterson unless hanging with the older, much older crowd is your thing.

Dexter's...

So Dexters was pretty intense. I think everyone that I ever went to high school was there. It was too crazy for my taste. First, we get there and pull into the parking lot and there is not one spot open. Now, Dexters is in a strip mall so the parking lot is huge! So right then I knew it wasnt gonna be a good night. So finally after following these girls that were walking out of the club we got a spot. I was transferring all my vital crap from my purse into my wristlet when I realize... I forgot my ID. All I could think of was... I dont want to loose this spot. But I had no choice. I look like I'm about 12 so I knew I wasnt getting in without it. So me and my friend had to drive all the way home. By this time it was 11:30. So we finally got back, found a good spot (thank god!) and went in. When I walked through the bar area to get to the dance floor everyone was looking at me. I knew every face that turned my way. I guess I was a little unfashionably late! I'm known for being late... all the time, for everything. I didnt know what the big deal was, but I missed the kid that lived in our town sing. (main reason why everyone was there and that it was thanksgiving break and everyone was home from school)

Everyone was holding at least two drinks in their hands. Because you COULD NOT get to the bar. So when you finally did, you had to order as many drinks and your poor little hands could hold. Everyone was so drunk and falling and spilling all over the place. It was just too crowded.. So we didnt stay long.. me and my friends stayed on this couch for about a half hour and left

But I'm sure Dexter's made a fortune. Kudos to them.

Thanksgiving Eve is tomorrow!

ahhh Thanksgiving Eve, one of the biggest nights to go out. I got a ton of event invitations on facebook ranging from the shore to nyc. But I think I'm staying local. This week has been so hectic already I wanna lay low. I'm pretty excited even though I'm still not sure what I'm going to do. I might be going to this local bar Dexters in Riverdale. Its really nice inside and gets pretty croweded. It's kind of like a highschool reunion going there, which is not something to look forward too. I really dont like anyone I graduated highschool with. College changes you, and i realized how dumb everyone in my town is haha. Except for my two best friends, Val and Gina. Val is the reason why I think I'm gonna drag my butt to dexters because she has a new boyfriend and they all want to go there. Anyway.. I have a ton of papers to do and finals to study for! I'll write more tomorrow =)

what's everyones plans for thanksgiving eve??

Thursday!

The day of the week any college student loves. Thursday! For most of us Friday classes are just out of the question. Well except for freshman that usually dont have the choice (I know it sucks, I've been there). So what to do tonight? Dorm party? House party? Bar? Club?. Who knows. Theres this new italian tavern called Rome in Cedar Grove that's supposidly really fun on thursday nights. Alot of people from Caldwell go there but we'll see where I end up. It's all up in there air. What does everyone like doing on thursday nights?

I'm insane.

So normally, my Thursday nights consist of conversing with my friends in my senior seminar class from 6-6:50 about what we should do that night. I go home get ready and usually end up at a nearby bar or club. But this Thursday was a different story...

I'm pretty much obsessed with the book Twilight (and the three that follow). If you dont know what Twilight is (or at least seen a facebook bumper sticker) then I hate you. haha :) but really, its a book about a human named Bella that falls in love with a vampire named Edward<3 It was so great they decided to turn it into a movie, which is coming out this friday. It is so hyped up, it's ridiculous & i love it. Most you who have heard about but havent read about it probably think its so dumb. but all i have to say is, read it and you'll understand. So anyway (i'm getting to the point, dont worry..) this is the cast for the movie..

Hot topic is currently having a Twilight Tour. Different characters from the movie visit different stores throughout the U.S. Well this past thursday, New Jersey was blessed to have Bella and Rosalie (Edward's sister) visit garden state plaza in paramus. Bellas plays by Kristen Stewart and Rosalie is played by Nikki Reed. They are the two girls kissing in the middle of the picture.

Heres how it went down. The first 500 people in line at hot topic got a twilight t-shirt, wristband, and a number. This ensured your spot on line to meet kristen and nikki and two get their autographs. hot topic was going to open up at 7am on Friday the 14th.

So... me, my sister and my best friend waited in line ....from 11:30pm Thursday night to 7:30am Friday morning. 8 hours. haha I'm insane. But i was number 75 out of 500! so worth the wait. The only thing that sucked was that we werent allowed to take pictuers in hot topic when we met them. But they were so nice. I told them how long I waited and they were so sincere, they were like "that means so much to us" stuff like that :) There is so much more to this story but this post is getting way to long. so i'll spare all of you and show you some pics! (we were allowed to take pics at the q&a afterwards)

this is our campsite haha..

I had an amazing time. worth every second (and hours and hours) of it.. even it that means giving up the rest of my weekend of partying to just lay in my bed and sleep haha

If you love twilight, comment me!

"Theres nothing to do!"

clubbing Pictures, Images and Photos

Come the weekends, that always seems to be the issue. There is never anything to do. But I think the real issue is that most people our age don't take the effort to really explore whats out there. Most think they have to travel to the city to have a real good time. But that really isn't the case (even for all you girls who arent 21 yet)

In the future I'd love to own a bar/club. So I make it my mission every weekend to try out new places. I live for the weekends, and I love having a good time. I've been to most bars/clubs within decent driving distance. As many of you may not think, there are still so many to explore!

So for all you party animals out there, or for those that just are looking to kick back and have a good time if youre ever stuck in that same conversation of "There's nothing to do!" my random thoughts here may spark some interest and ideas.

ps. that image basically sums up my nightlife. minus the smoking (yuck). if you smoke.. quit! for your children's sake when/if you have them in the future. I resent my parents for smoking as much as they do. I always smell like it.
